THE PUBLIC OPTION FOR A CAREER IN DIGITAL GAMES

About

Vision

The Gaming Pathways to the City College of New York Program provides an affordable option for individuals who want to pursue careers in the rapidly growing digital gaming industry.

Goal

Create a diverse and skilled workforce, making New York City a leading hub for digital game development.

History

NYC Mayor Adams seeks to make our goal a high priority in his economic recovery plans for the City. Achieving this goal requires a skilled workforce that brings to the industry creativity and ideas that reflect the diversity of our society. Science and Arts Engagement, through its Harlem Gallery of Science, laid the foundation for the Pathways to CCNY and Careers in the Digital Gaming Industry Program, working with CCNY in early 2021. The NYC Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment has contracted with CCNY to offer this program, which will lead to a bachelor’s degree in the growing digital gaming industry.
