While still young, the Gaming Pathways have already produced videos from esports competitions, a lecture series, a Mayoral Press Conference, a rap video, and more. It also received both local and national press coverage.
To launch the new Gaming Pathways, we held a public lecture series in 2022 – composed of students, academics, and industry leads – about esports. Many of the videos from this series can be viewed below (and a free print compilation can be found here.)

Did you know there was a video game exhibit in NYC? Or that it had a giant Nintendo Switch? Earlier this year we paid a tearful goodbye to the Video Games: The Great Connector exhibit at @hgs_ny , which ran from February 3rd to March 30th.
It featured several newly released and upcoming indie games, activities to do, and facts about gaming careers. And it was all made possible thanks to the wonderful voices in gaming who lended their help. As well as all the thousands of students, schools, and gamers who were able to make it.
We hope to see it again someday! 🎮

Back in 2022, Gaming Pathways collaborated with @hgs_ny to ask their students several questions about how important gaming was in their lives.
They spoke about how video games helped them learn valuable skills, develop their own social communities, and overcome tough challenges in their lives.
We also took this time to show them how gaming and education can go hand-in-hand to transform their passions into fulfilling careers.
