As part of NYC’s Summer of Games, the EGD Collective hosted its 7th Annual Waffle Games Convention at The City College of New York. Touted as the city’s largest student-run gaming convention, this year’s event welcomed nearly 500 attendees, including students, indie developers, game design professionals, and industry experts—all united by their passion for gaming.
Much of the convention’s success was driven by the contributions of CCNY students in the EGD Collective, who played a key role in outreach and showcased their own game designs. Over the course of two days, attendees participated in panels, workshops, tournaments, and games both in-person and virtually, broadening access to the wider community.
